Living the dream here at Zaadz!
Well, the job part anyway, and even that's not quite accurate, as not only do I not think of this as a job, I just don't partition my life like that too much. The job is a fine concept to grasp, a very useful tool and all , but misleading at the same time - is that not like everything in this relative world of ours? All words and concepts just slice & dice 'reality' in ways for us (or at least me)...
One concept I find useful is gratitude, which I do have - for this moment, for my karma...and to Brian and Aaron for inviting me onto the team here at Zaadz :) I'm honored to here and am having a blast. The team is the best. Full of compassion and passion as a fave blogger of mine would say. Lots of vegans and folks down with things integral - too cool.
And so a big thank-you to all of you are taking the time to sign-up, play around, give feedback and help us build our community, even in this sorta 'pre-beta' stage. A special thanks to all you bloggers out there who have been spreading the love and sowing the seed. We are paying attention.
Back to the job: I do web dev (among other things - we are all here because we share the vision and are participating in many ways) here and if you have any ideas, throw 'em my way! Or at Aaron (who is responsible for 99% of the dev here thus far. He is a Wizard indeed.). Let me know what cool features you would like here, and I'll see what I can do. Seriously. There must be things you would like to see - sure it might be coming but let us know anyway. Can we use tags more effectively? What else would you like to see in the profile? Are there features on other sites like Tribe or MySpace you really miss here? Have an idea about how Google Maps can be integrated? Feeds? Instant Messaging? Are you an artist?entrepreneur?activist?musician?mother? -what would make this more useful to you?
loving-kindness to all you Zaadzters,
Ryan

and we’re thrilled to have you and your genius on our team, Ryan!
Namaste,

Hey you geniuses,
Your interactive feedback looping shows – and rocks.
Some things I wouldn’t mind seeing around here over time include:
a) tabbed message boards available, like the blogs and pictures section, for ongoing dialogue on specific themes with clustered others over time
b) quick searches per site, and advanced searches covering the all of Zaadz
c) definately im’ing!!!
d) easy links, if possible, foregoing the whole html coding thang – plug ‘em in, click and hello link
e) my cutting/copying & pasting isn’t happening here…though Mozilla gives me a complicated message suggesting if I rearrange code somewhere it might start working. But that’s a first for me – as Blogger doesn’t have this problem, so i don’t know if it’s a Zaadz thing or a fizay thing, but one of these days I’ll figure it out :)
f) E-Z on-site podcasting capacity….when the time comes and the killer app allows!
Okay, that’s enough….! (See what happens after taking a marathon bath?) Yes, rest is good for us live wires. Be good to yourselves….
Chris
Excited to be part of the team with you.
You guys rock!
Everyday is like Christmas at Zaadz.
What am I going to unwrap next?
Are there opportunities for us to help out/volunteer? I assume that with all the features you are adding that you will all be very busy. What if you have ten different projects that all need to be revised and all you guys are busy working on maintaining/creating the site, and you wish you just had some robots that could go over your projects and correct mistakes? Would there be a possibility that you might say, “Hey, our community’s pretty big. Maybe we could delegate some of the mindless ‘pain-in-the-ass’ work to our pool of enthusiastic volunteers.”? You could collect a list of those of us who might be willing to help out with such matters; we’d have the opportunity to accept/decline any job offered. You might even set up an assessment page where we could assess our talents; our collective assessments would be saved somewhere with our talents ranked; then when you had a certain task you needed to accomplish (say of editing), you could pop an e-mail out to the volunteers who ranked highly in the editing category, etc. A computer program could be set up to sort and file people into groups after they take the assessment. Then you would free up more time for yourselves to really do that creative stuff that you are all so good at. What do you think?
OMG!!
“Wht do we think?”!!?
I think you guys rock. Wow.
Ryan and I are chatting about how we can implement exactly what you’re talking about. Kinda like a Zaadz think tank. How else we gonna build the killer app that actually changes the world? Amazingly cool…
Namaste.

Hi Ryan,
I’m enjoying the blogs very much here on Zaadz, but I’ll have to use the features a bit more before I can offer any ideas (although I’d like to be able to put photos in my blog entries).
You said, “One concept I find useful is gratitude, which I do have - for this moment, for my karma….” I don’t think gratitude is a concept – it’s a state of being brought about by how you “be.” :) Karma. Yeah. I’m really grateful too, Ryan.
Thanks for the great job!
ILK,
Gemma
I agree with Mathew about volunteering. Put me on your list. You are doing a fantastic job on this site. I am continuously amazed. I would be happy to contribute…Deb
I really love what’s happening here, and I want to support this vision,
and grow together with zaadz and the greater community.
And I too would like to know what I can do to be of service to zaadz….
I am in the midst of a major life transition…. I just sold my business,
and took a major leap of faith, knowing that I needed to make room
for something really high to come into my life. I really want to use
my time and energy to benefit others.
I am more excited about zaadz than just about anything I can think of right now!
I have a lot of strong experience in a number of areas.
I'd love to find a way to make a meaningful contribution to this beautiful vision.
Please let me know if I can ever be of service.
Matthew's idea of an assessment page sounds like a good one.
I'm so happy to be getting to know all of you, and really happy to be here.
A deep bow to all of you who are co-creating the beauty that is zaadz.
With Great Love and Respect,
Karuna
